How do California Breath products work?

Supply:

Ingredients: purified water, zinc gluconate, sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, concentrated OXYD-8 (proprietary stabilized ClO2), tea tree oil, essential oil of spearmint, sodium benzoate, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil
