Pregnancy Diary - WEEK 18
I have been very good this week with healthy eating and exercise. I actually look and feel better already so hopefully this will inspire me to continue!
Had my blood pressure checked this week, and its fine. I have to have this done as they are watching out for signs of pre-eclampsia which I suffered during my last pregnancy. My next appointment is 6th February for my 22 week scan. I am looking forward to it already. We are going to take my daughter this time as we are trying to get her used to the idea of another baby coming into the family.
My husband felt the baby move under my skin this week, he had his head on my tummy as I think your face is a lot more sensitive to touch than your hands. It made it more real for him.
The Bio-Oil seems to be working well on my tummy as its stopped itching. I have stopped putting it on my boobs everyday as I already have oily skin on my chest and I don't want to overload it otherwise I may get spots.
I have had a bit of constipation over the last few weeks, so I have stepped up my intake of fibre, including taking psyllium husks every morning to keep me moving. I feel better for doing that, and as psyllium husks are natural, they are perfectly safe to take during pregnancy.
I seem to be doing a lot of organising! I think my mind just wants me to get on top of things ready for when the baby is born, as I am sure it will be bedlam for the first few months, especially with already having one child.
