Pregnancy Diary - WEEK 19

Christmas and now I have caught it. Problem is every time I cough, I am worried I am either going to wet myself or push the baby out!

Brought some new clothes this week. I went and had a look in Red Herring at Debenhams, there was some fairly nice stuff but nothing that caught my eye. I then tried Hennes and brought a nice maternity jumper then dare I say - I went to Dorothy Perkins. I say it like that, as the last time I was pregnant, that was the only place to shop and their maternity stuff was hideous. Well what an improvement. I brought a lovely pair of maternity jeans for £30, really trendy and comfortable, I was very impressed.

I had reflexology again this week. Its so lovely just to relax for an hour with my feet up, it makes me realise how I never sit down for 5 minutes. The reflexologist has suggested I start to have reiki healing at the beginning of each session. I have a habit of talking throughout the whole treatment and she doesn't think I am getting the most from it as I am busy gassing and not relaxing enough. I have had reflexology for years and I swear by it. You are not allowed to have reflexology during the first trimester as it could trigger miscarriage but its safe to do so now, but the reflexologist has to avoid certain areas of the foot as pressure could trigger labour.

I can still feel the baby moving quite a bit, particularly when I am resting. The baby seems quite low (like my last pregnancy) and I keep getting a pain in the left hand side of my bum which shoots down my leg. Maybe the baby is lying on a nerve or something, I will mention this to my midwife when I next see her.
