Pregnancy Diary - WEEK 24

Saw the midwife for the first time in ages this week. She had a student midwife with her and she asked me a couple of questions. Was a bit put out that the regular midwife didn't exam the bump after the student, as she may have picked something up that the student didn't. I know I might be being paranoid, and the students have to learn but I came out feeling that I wasn't checked properly.

I also had a really bad tummy bug this week. Thanks to another playgroup bug, I have had severe diarrhoea to the point where I wasn't off the loo for nearly an hour. I was really worried about the baby. When I saw the midwife I had just started to feel unwell, when I mentioned it, she said I must eat, even if its just a slice of toast here and there.

I couldn't even keep water inside me, I lost a good few pounds. I didn't feel the baby move for about 12 hours, but then after a while when I started to feel better and kept food and drink inside me, the baby started moving again.
