Pregnancy Diary - WEEK 29
We are supposed to be exchanging contracts on our new house this week, so its all happening rather fast. I have been packing boxes this week ready for the move and am getting rather tired. It's a frustrating time to be pregnant as there is loads I want to do, but I cant manage it.
It's been Mothers Day this week, this time next year, I will have 2 kids to enjoy on this special day. My husband cooked me breakfast and I was allowed to have a bath on my own in peace. Blimey.
I am finding, even though I have a huge appetite, I can't eat much without feeling full. If I leave it 10 minutes I can eat more. I guess I am running out of room inside!
My next appointment is with my Consultant at the hospital, that will be when I am 32 weeks. She will be monitoring me for pre-eclampsia. I forgot to mention that when I saw the midwife last, she found Ketones in my water. When you have pre-eclampsia, they find protein so I was baffled when they found ketones. Apparently Ketones is a sign that you are burning fat. This normally would have been a positive thing for me but the midwife was obviously concerned as asked when the last time I ate was. I had a huge bowl of porridge for breakfast and just had lunch, even on the way to the midwife, my husband stopped to get me a Double Decker!!!
I looked up Ketones in pregnancy on the internet it referred to gestestional diabetes. I started to scare myself so decided not to look any more and to try and stop eating masses of chocolate.
